First Vice Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Horace Ekow Ewusi has presented a home used Hyundai i10 car to the widow of a deceased Central Regional Communications Officer of the party, Robert Ammisah, popularly known in politics as “Staga” who died a couple of weeks ago.
“I have a feeling that with the car to be used as a taxi to generate extra income for the widow as well as help her to at least cater for the kids, especially their education” Mr. Ekow Ewusi stated at the short ceremony
The support was also to appreciate the deceased Communications Officer’s commitment and contributions to the party during his lifetime.
Mr. Ammisah who was a Law student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and professional teacher died in April this year in the line of the party’s duties.
Presenting the car key to the widow in Kwesipra near UCC, Mr. Ekow Ewusi said the deceased Communications Officer was hard-working and committed to his work underscoring the need to support his widow.
Mr. Ekow Ewusi was accompanied by the Cape Coast North Constituency executives led by Stephen Kojo Arhin who also presented GH¢500 to the widow to buy fuel for the car.
Receiving the car key, the mother of the deceased, Madam Akosua Safua Obeng expressed gratitude to the NPP team for the kind gesture and appreciated party members in the region for the care, love and support shown them after the demise of their loved one.
On behalf of the family, the Abusuapanyin of Kwesipra, Abusuapanyin Kwaku Annan thanked Ekow Ewusi and his team for recognizing the efforts of the family and remembering the widow of their son.
