Watch how Akufo Addo fumbled when asked by BBC journalist why tax the poor man’s money via E-levy.. [VIDEO]

President Akufo-Addo spoke with broadcast journalist Peter kwóchè of the BBC on the health of the Ghanaian economy during a meeting at the Presidential Villa.

It was shown on BBC’s Focus on Africa, BBC News (World) and BBC World Service, among other channels.

We were particularly interested in the section of the report that dealt with the controversial Electronic Transaction Levy (E-levy) Bill, which was one of the numerous topics covered.

With the BBC host’s tone reflecting Akufo Addo’s desire to defend his government’s decision to introduce the E-levy, Ghana’s Zacchaeus failed to impress him in his attempt to explain the logic for the E-levy.
